Alison co-created this program to connect traditional education with real-world vocational opportunities. With over 20 years as a Special Education Teacher and Program Specialist, she specializes in instructional design, transition planning, and individualized support for adults with diverse learning needs.Inspired by her high school peer mentoring, Alison later served as President of her college Friendship Club, fostering inclusive activities between typically developing students and adults with varying abilities. She holds a Master’s in Special Education, plus Autism Authorization and CLAD credentials.Outside teaching, Alison loves traveling, surfing, and hiking with her sixth- and fourth-grade children, cheering at their sports events, and giving back—she’s been a Girl Scout leader and volunteers with Sandpipers. She’s deeply grateful to help build this program and looks forward to sharing more joy with the community!
