Brighter Future had an amazing time joining the 18th Street Art Center for their bi-annual Pico Block Party! From an incredible mix of music and performance to all the amazing art, our students always love their time with the 18th Street Art Center. A special thank you to Betty for having us back and giving us space to support our families! Additionally, we had a huge win with our newest student near selling out of her headbands and engaging socially with lots of the party goers. Our rock painting continues to be a blast and we are event inspired by what our artist create. Join us at our next event the Rock and Roll Flea Market on June 3rd hosted by the Regent Theater.
Brighter Future had an amazing time joining the Agape Children’s Museum for a day of art and fun! Brighter Future Charity had an amazing time joining our good friends form the Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors at the Dockweiler Youth Center this last weekend for Earth Day. Our students had a chance to see some incredible aquatic creatures in a shallows display exhibit and enjoyed racing through the blow up obstacles courses all while enjoying the amazing day at the beach! Again we cannot thank Peggy from the Dockweiler Youth Center for making our group feel at home and ensuring we had an incredibly fun day! Additionally, we are proud to announce that our ‘rock painting’ workshop and fundraiser was a huge success! Be sure to look for it, along with all our amazing workshops, at our next event the Jackalope Pasadena Art Fair, where we are the featured non-profit for the entire two day event. Our students had an amazing time at the annual Robo-Tech Fest in Long Beach. Not only did we learn about robotics and all sorts of incredible functions for robots, we also had one of our very own students teach a LEGO workshop on his very
own LEGO design! Brighter Future could not be more inspired by the passion and joy our students had creating and building all sorts of inspired structures and robots. Additionally, three of our core students from this event (who had previously avoided the social interaction of showcasing their art) started to showcase their work and socialize with the community at
large at the event. Our goal is to help foster inclusion and connect the community with the families we support, and we could not have been more ecstatic at the progress and connection our group made at this event. For more information on our upcoming events please check out the upcoming events tab above and be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos!

Brighter Future Charity kicked of the 2018 New Year with our first ever student organized mastermind event. Enjoying the cooler weather with all the birds down at the Del Ray Lagoon, we put together a list of the things that made our program and students last year great! We are excited to announce that students from our mastermind event will be hosting workshops at our next community event for the general public, in an effort to further connect with our surrounding communities. The students planned a few more surprises for our next event, and had an amazing time working with our mastermind group. After a challenging race and snacks, we ended our mastermind event with a beach meditation and yoga poses. Be sure to check Brighter Future’s website and our Facebook page for details on our next event. Looking forward to an amazing new year and new you with Brighter Future Charity.

The Brighter Future Charity family had an amazing time at the Pico Block Party this last weekend with the 18th Street Art Center. Our group spent the day exploring the amazing activities such as Santa Monica stone painting, flag making, T-shirt printing, collage decorating, live cultural dancing, face painting, and quesadilla making (ever tried a gummy worm quesadilla?) Our artists JJ Jewelry made several sales for their incredible pieces and had fun creating poetry with the artists from the center. We hope you will join us next event for more social fun in the sun November 18th at the Pasadena Art Fair!
